Normaal vier ik K-dag niet.
Maar als iemand die dood is een feestje geeft,
wil ik best een uitzondering maken.
Ik had nog allemaal oude spulletjes.

Om 9 uur 's ochtends spraken we af.

Met een croissant in ons mond, en sap in een hand hadden we elk 1 hand vrij.
Daarmee pakten we alvast wat oude spulletjes uit onze weekendtassen.

Het matje bleef liggen.

Zo, nu eerst ontbijten. Dachten we.
Maar dat mislukte
Toen 13 vrouwen en meisjes als raven op onze spullen doken.
De weekendtassen werden opengerukt.
Twee vrouwen maakten ruzie om een lampje.
Het andere lampje werd gejat.

Toen de beste units weg waren, konden we rustig uitpakken.
De kleurtjes moeten bovenop, wist Marijke.
Zij had vorig jaar ook verkocht.

We gingen weer van boord.

En toen weer iemand.
Daar gebeurde het allemaal.
Wat precies, dat wist niemand.

Ik ga heel even naar huis, zei ik.

Maar ik kwam niet meer terug.
